Glorify the Lord by Our Lives, T. Alonso

Opening Prayer

Almighty ever-living God,
who in the abundance of your kindness
surpass the merits and the desires

of those who entreat you,

pour out your mercy upon us
to pardon what conscience dreads
and to give what prayer does not dare to ask.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,

your Son,
who lives and reigns with you

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayers of the Faithful

Trusting in God’s merciful and abundant love, let us bring him our petitions.

  • For all bishops, may the Holy Spirit continue to guide them in holiness, let us pray to the Lord.

  • For all those who struggle in faith, may the Lord console them with his promises and help them in any unbelief, let us pray to the Lord.

  • For all of us, may the calling of Christ echo in our hearts, giving clarity to our desires and actions, let us pray to the Lord.

  • For those intentions we ask at this time...., we pray to the Lord.

  • For our beloved dead, may they be welcomed into God’s kingdom, let us pray to the Lord.

God of all graces, everything we have comes from you. We entrust to you the concerns of our world, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Meditation Hymn

Like Cedars, D. Schutte
00:00 / 04:39

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Closing Prayer

Grant us,

almighty God,
that we may be refreshed and nourished
by Your Grace,
so as to be transformed by Your Love.

Through Christ our Lord.

Closing Hymn

Forth in the Peace of Christ We Go

Season of creation

October 4 - Feast of St. Francis of Assisi

we celebrate the Season of Creation. The Season of Creation is an annual Christian observance of caring for creation. It is a time to celebrate and renew our commitment to the Creator and the stewardship of His creation. This year’s Season of Creation has a particular significance because our Holy Father has named this year Laudato Si’ Year, as we continue to celebrate the five-year anniversary of his encyclical Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.
