Prayers of the Faithful

Our Lord rescued his friend Lazarus from the tomb. Pray that Christ will raise us up from the darkness of sin and death to the glory of Easter.

  • For Pope Francis and his intentions at this time, let us pray to the Lord.

  • For civic leaders, medical personnel and others coordinating a response to the  coronavirus, may God give them wisdom and strength,  let us pray to the Lord.

  • For those infected with or recovering from the coronavirus, may Jesus, the Divine Physician, offer them hope and healing,  let us pray to the Lord.

  • That the love of God, shown to us in Jesus Christ, may give us confidence and courage in all things, let us pray to the Lord.

  • For our intentions that we quietly ask at this time, let us pray to the Lord

  • For all who have died and who await resurrection on the last day, that they rest in peace until they are called forth from the tomb by the voice of Jesus,  let us pray to the Lord.

Loving God, your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, is the resurrection and the life. May we always believe in his power to save us, for he is Lord for ever and ever. Amen.

Closing Prayer

Bless, O Lord,

your people,
who long for the gift of your mercy,
and grant that what,

at your prompting,

they desire

they may receive

by your generous gift.
Through Christ our Lord.
