Prayers of the Faithful

Gathered as one in the celebration of the good things God has done for us, let us ask him to hear the prayers we bring before him.

  • That the people of God may continue to grow in faith and holiness through the power of God’s word and the sacraments, let us pray to the Lord.

  • That God may guide all those in power toward unity and peace for the sake of the world, let us pray to the Lord.
  • That God may bless with abundance the fields that feed the people of the world, let us pray to the Lord.

  • That those who have died may soon feast at the heavenly banquet of the Lord, let us pray to the Lord.

  • For the intentions we ask at this time...., let us pray to the Lord.

God of love, you are patient and kind. Hear the prayers we bring to you today, through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Meditation Hymn

Closing Prayer

Graciously be present

to your people,

we pray, O Lord,

and lead those

you have imbued

with heavenly mysteries

to pass from former ways

to newness of life.
Through Christ our Lord.
