A Year of Parish Events
September 17 - Parish Picnic
Immediately following our 11:30 am Mass, we will celebrate our annual Parish Picnic. Jesus taught His disciples to break bread together to receive His body and blood and to build bonds of friendship and love. After we receive the Bread of Life during Mass, we celebrate together with JOY at our Parish Picnic as we encounter Christ in one another.
October 19 - An Evening of Reflection
Dr. Mary Amore of Mayslake Ministries will present: Encountering Jesus in the Eucharist: Becoming the Very Mystery We Receive.
November 18 - Togalese Mass
In all languages and all countries, the Catholic celebration of the Mass follows the same liturgical format. However, each culture does share its unique gifts upon the celebration. Our parish is blessed with people of many different cultures. Experience the Mass from the region of Toga, Africa, as we welcome our parishioners along with others from Toga to celebrate a special Togolese Mass.
January 2024 - Rescue Project
(8 weeks including a retreat)
At the heart of the Eucharistic Revival is an encounter with Jesus, who rescued us from sin and death, gave us the path to eternal life, and sends us forth to live as His disciples. The Rescue Project provides an opportunity to encounter Jesus by proclaiming the Gospel message in a compelling and attractive way. The essential elements of The Rescue Project experience include prayer, a meal, worship, a presentation video, and discussion in a small group format.
March 10-12 – 40 Hour Devotion
After the 11:30 am Mass, Eucharistic Adoration will begin in Church where Jesus will remain fully present in the Blessed Sacrament on the Altar for forty continuous hours over three days. Forty hours recalls the forty hours from Jesus' burial until His Resurrection as well as His 40-day fast in the desert. In Scripture the number 40 is a time of testing, a time of challenge so that we can be made new by God. This Mini-Lenten Retreat is an opportunity to gather as a community for spiritual renewal to reawaken our faith and deepen our appreciation of the Mystery of the Eucharist in our lives. Our 40 hour devotion will end with Benediction and Mass at 8:15 am on March 12.
April 26 - Music Ministry Choral Concert
The essence of the liturgical music that unites us as a parish community focuses on enriching our prayer experience of thanksgiving and praise. Our Music Ministry will present a Choral Concert at 7:00 p.m. in celebration of the Eucharistic Revival. Our Adult Choir, High School Choir, Youth Choir, and Instrumental Ensemble will present a wide repertoire of music expressing our personal encounters with the Eucharist, enhancing our devotion to the Eucharist, and affirming our desire to grow in the graces we receive from the Eucharist.
May 4 - First Communion Mass
A special invitation to join us as we celebrate First Communion with some of our youngest parishioners. Experience this prayerful day of faith for our Parish Family.
June 1 - Eucharistic Procession
We close out the Parish’s Year of the Eucharistic Revival with our annual Eucharistic Procession through the grounds of St. Elizabeth Seton.
